Day 5 + many more days to come

Enough of the counting of days. It was a good idea but short lived. Some days there's stuff to mention, other days, not so much. We were going to play golf here but the next day the weather became ugly..blowing, raining and it went from 35C down to 13C. The day after that, I was down with a very bad back so no golfing again. On the 3rd day we left for

High Level, Alta: We left the Apen Ridge Campground after 2 days. Before leaving town we stopped by the Vistors/Museum centre. The museum was pretty impressive with the amount of room they had. I could not get a good shot of the totem pole as the light was all wrong. Bummer as it was pretty impressive.

Museum shots. I'm hoping that if you click on the photo it will get bigger but not really sure.

And..we're off. We have a reservation at Twin Falls Gorge Campground just before the town of Enterprise, NWT. But 1st, we cross The 60th Parallel into The Northwest Territories. Whahooo

NORTHWEST TERRITORIES: 60TH PARALLEL

Again, a pretty impressive museum/visitors centre for the amount of room. The animals were very impressive, and well done.

NEXT STOP: Twin Falls Gorge Territories Campground. Very nice campground. Only $28.00 for power. A forest fire ripped through here last year, so there is some damage but all in all, they did a pretty darn good job saving the campground. We spoke with the attendant and she said there were sprinkler on all the out buildings, but as she drove out of town, the fire was like water on the road. We walked down to see the Twin Falls. The water is really really low. The viewing platform was ribboned off as they have not removed all the standing dead/danger trees that need to come down. Tomorrow we will walk over to the Alexander Falls 2kms. Will post those photos tomorrow.
