2024 Northwest Territories #2

The Trip from Valemount to Hixon today went rather smoothly. It’s always a spectacular sight when you cross the bridge at Tete Jaune and out jumps Mt. Robson.

One of the most beautiful drives I have been on is through the Rocky Mountains from Tete Jaune, BC, to Hinton, Alberta. It seems that every time you round a corner, up pops another mountain and another, and another. It’s a beautiful, spectacular drive.

The only wild animal we saw driving through Jasper National Park..a young sheep.

Vances Mom, Pat; Vance, and Steve MISSING

We stayed up late swapping stories and telling tall tales. The next day, we carried on north and Vance, Cynthia, and their daughter Danielle left for Costa Rica. They’re going to their son Myles’ wedding in Tamarindo, Liberia. Coincidentally, Steve and I were in Tamarindo in 1989, the population was 80 then. It’s much different today! I’m looking forward to seeing their photos when they return.
